We are a specialized Services and Consulting Company in filing, granting, maintaining, protecting and keeping in good standing exploration and mining concessions throughout Chile.
Chilean mining legislation requires to thoroughly complete and track the procedures leading to the granting, maintenance and protection of exploration and mining concessions in order to monitor and keep the preferential right obtained.
Our company is formed by professionals with more than 20 years of experience in the mining sector, and has developed a work system tailored to the requirements of our customers, providing comprehensive consulting services ensuring the confidentiality required by the industry.
Mining concessions are the most important and strategic asset of a mining company, thus the proceedings for granting, protecting and monitoring these concessions are key elements for an efficient management.
Propiedad Minera Chile offers high-level integral consulting services and technical expertise.
The permit granting process requires to complete a filing procedure for mining and/or exploration concessions before a competent court in the country, through the Virtual Judicial Office. It involves, among others, the following: Preparation of legal briefs, registration in the Competent Custodian of Mines, publication in the Official Mining Bulletin, payment of Proportional Property and Filing Fee taxes, preparation of concessions’ maps and survey. This service can be associated with the protection and maintenance of the areas of interest where the concessions are located.
The protection and maintenance service includes tracking third parties’ mining activity in a specific area of interest by reviewing the Official Mining Bulletin. This results in updating the cadastre of tenements in the area and submitting the corresponding report to reflect the activity of other companies or concessionaires in the area and any potential conflicts or overlaps.
The Cadastre of an area of interest includes identifying the existing mining concessions by establishing their preferential right and validity through the study of electronic files in the Judiciary's Website and Sernageomin’s online Cadastre.
The audit of mining concessions involves, among other actions, reviewing the legal standing, validity, preferential right, analysis of overlaps, as well as all land tenure data and proceedings leading to the granting of concessions, which must be carried out in accordance with the requirements and within the terms provided in the Mining Code and its Regulations.
Auditing the internal management of a Land Tenure Department or Unit contemplates examining the cadastral base to determine its efficiency and accuracy, contrast media, handling of information, third party inspections and reviews. It also includes examining the Company's internal processes regarding the decisions for the granting, protection and maintenance of the Mining Tenements and other associated responsibilities.
